Okay, so I tried a blog once before.  I am so sorry to those of you who really enjoyed it, but I just couldn’t stay up with it!!!  I also had more than my fair share of issues…problems with the computers, problems with the the internet not working, or problems with not even having electricity when we would have a black out for hours at a time.  But if first you don’t succeed, try again….here goes!

I have been home for more than a week now after my whirlwind visit to the States.  Last night was actually my first night to sleep through the night normally and awaken at a normal time.  So I think I can safely say that jet lag is past me.  It seems to get harder and to take longer each and every trip.  The heat was a rude awakening to my body also.  I was only gone about 40 days but then when that heat slapped me in the face at the airport it was “whew…forgot about that for a little bit.”

This morning Kati and I worked out with our new exercise DVD…even at 6 AM with every available fan blowing on us, we were sweating BEFORE we worked out.  The benefits of it are worth it or so we think, anyway.  By the time we were done 25 minutes later, our children were up and ready to start their day.

This month, the children of Bykota House are going to school in the mornings. With everyone where they needed to be, Mark headed out in search needed supplies for the up and coming Christian school we are beginning next month.  I headed up to the third floor to homeschool our four youngest, while our teenagers hit the books in their rooms.

After lunch and during the normal Cambodian rest time, Mark and I went out to try to check on things he had found that morning.  I had a new supplier in mind so we went there and while we didn’t find the desks that we needed, we found someone who was willing to make us desks similar to what they had already but to Mark’s size requirements.  This supplier is supposed to have a sample desk for us to look at some time next week.  Please pray that the desks work out okay!  The price is right and the size is big enough for adequate study but yet small enough to fit in our “classrooms.”

These desks are just the first of many items that we need to track down in the following weeks to get the school open and running.  But I guess that is how to tackle the list…one thing at a time.  Talk to you again soon.

Breathing in, breathing out,

Rhonda
